LONG BEACH, Calif.—The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) will feature North-West College graduate Ed ClayeJoiner during its Keynote Address Panel at its upcoming Professional Development Conference slated for September 25–27. An alumna of the College’s Vocational Nursing program, Joiner will participate in a panel of ACCSC-accredited institution graduates moderated by ACCSC Executive Director Dr. MichaleMcComis.
“We are honored to have Ed Claye represent North-West College at ACCSC’s Professional Development Conference,” shared Brooke Allen, NWC’s Corporate Director of Academic Operations and Clinical Education. “Ed Clayewas incredibly dedicated to her studies throughout her time hereand are we are thrilled to see she has gone on to become a successful Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) working in the health care field.”
Titled, “Reflecting Forward: A Student’s Perspective,” this year’s Keynote Address Panel will highlight why panel members chose the school they attended, along with what their school or college did exceptionally well to help them be successful in their program and career field. In addition, panelists will have the opportunity to share advice for colleges looking for ways to better serve their students.
ACCSC hosts the conference annually, to provide an“exceptional opportunity for accredited institutions to innovate and explore meaningful ways to enhance and promote student excellence, further support workforce development, and bridge the ever-present skills gap in the United States.” With more than 250 attendees expected from its membership and the higher education community, the PDC pairs dynamic training sessions with opportunities to make meaningful connections with others in this sector of education.
“This is a great opportunity for Ed Claye to share her experience and perspective on what worked for her during her time at North-West College,” Brooke Allen explained. “We love seeing students finish their program not only prepared for the World of Work, but passionate about helping and motivating others.”
